Interview with Fashion Model Amy Neville
CHO Fashion & Lifestyle were lucky enough to work with the fabulous Amy Neville who is fast becoming a household name across social media and within the fashion industry. We thought we would take the opportunity to find out a little more about this energetic, bubbly and engaging social media super star.
So, while on the CHO Fashion & Lifestyle TV shoot watching Amy do what she does best we decided to do an impromptu Q&A session. If you want to find out more about how a social media star combines her super busy life with modelling, then read below.
Q – If you could raid one woman’s closet, who’s would it be?
A – Sienna Miller or Millie Mackintosh. They both have quite a boho/effortless style.
Q – How do you handle jetlag?
A – Go to a spa! It’s part of the job so I just need to deal with it, and I travel from one place to another so quickly I don’t really have time to adjust.
Q – How’s your schedule looking?
A – I am currently shooting 7 days a week, you don’t get to where you want to be without being prepared to work without even a little break.
Q – Best/worst colour to wear?
A – Best is black, you can’t beat it as it’s flattering for every figure. Worst is pink, especially bright pink!
Q – Have you ever cut your own hair?
A – Yes, I tried to give myself a fringe when I was 8 years old. My mum was not happy!
Q – Who’s your current girl crush?
A – Emily Ratajkowski.
Q – What’s the most exciting thing happening in your life right now?
A – I’m launching my first ever range with Fairfax and Favour. Love the whole process of designing and getting to travel to where they’re made to see prototypes and the manufacture.
Q – Favourite food/drink?
A – Margherita pizza! And Champagne.
Q – If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
A – To fly.
Q – If you weren’t in fashion/blogging, what would you be doing?
A – Something to do with property probably, I used to have a job at an estate agent and loved getting to meet new people all the time.
Q – What’s the best compliment you’ve ever received?
A – That I’m so open, a bit of a breath of fresh air. People can stereotype what I’ll be like from the industry I work in, but always seem so surprised how open I am when I meet them.
Q – What does creativity mean to you?
A – In terms of modelling, movement and being expressive. You need to go to jobs and be remembered for your personality and creativity, just turning up and depending on the photographer for direction isn’t enough.
Q – Something you’ve always wanted to try?
A – I’d love to be able to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, something active like that. Or a skydive!
Q – Where are the best spots to eat in London?
A – There’s a few places! Novikov, Sexyfish or Restaurant Ours. Or Elan Café in Mayfair for just a coffee.
Q – One thing you could never part with in your closet?
A – My leather jackets, love my Sandro one but you can’t beat an All Saints one.
Q – Where would you live if you weren’t living in London?
A – Either Miami or Dubai.
Q – Who is your fashion icon?
A – Either Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner or Sienna Miller.
Q – Where has been your favourite location to shoot?
A – Mexico, Tulum. Though Miami and Barbados were amazing too!
Q – Dream location to shoot?
A – Probably Bali and I’m lucky enough to be going in November!
Q – Fashion Week starts soon, who are you looking forward to seeing?
A – Definitely looking forward to Burberry the most!
Q – Where do you go when saving vs. splurging?
A – When I’m saving I head to Zara, but when I’m splurging I head to Harrods or Gucci for accessories.
Q – Favourite Autumn trends/key pieces you’ve got your eye on?
A – Slouchy boots, over the knees are out!
Q – Planning on a Winter getaway?
A – For 2 weeks over Christmas and New Year’s I’ll be heading to Thailand and Dubai. All I’ve got planned is chilling out on a beach and writing for my blog.
