Winning Awards With Musto

Musto were this years Winner in the New Clothing Product category at the IPC Shooting Industry Awards.

The product that secured the award was the popular Fenland Packaway Jacket where eight shooting industry experts based their decision on the following criteria – Innovation, Quality, Design, Sales Success and Customer Recommendation.

The entry for the Shooting Industry Awards 2014 described the advantages of the Fenland Jacket:

“Critically the Fenland is a shooting jacket, with freedom to shoot and shooting features like chest high hand-warmer pockets and cartridge pocket flap retainers. It had to be light (0.6kg) in response to shooting consumer and performance clothing trends, as well as Musto’s ethos. Packability was key, recognising that many shots prefer to shoot in a waistcoat rather than a jacket – the Fenland avoids the need to carry a heavy jacket. When stowed it fits into a game pocket or clips to a belt, easily accessible between drives and in variable weather conditions. It packs into its own pocket with a pack size of 28cm x 23cm x 7cm. Versatility comes from year round suitability as part of a laying system, shooting, working dogs picking up or trialling and dozens of country past times where green is preferred to bright red. It’s also smart enough for commutes to work.

The Fenland shouldn’t be confused with low performance packable garments. It has a MVP (breathability) of 10,000g/m2 and a waterhead of 10,000mm. 3,000mm is regarded as the standard for waterproof fabrics. Neither should its low weight be confused with waterproofness, a common fallacy.”
