How to rewax a Barbour jacket

Whether you've chosen a standard wax jacket or a Barbour wax jacket with a hood, the good news is that your jacket can easily be rewaxed. Start by cleaning the jacket with cold water and a sponge to remove any excess dirt. Take a tin of Wax Barbour Thornproof Dressing and allow it to stand in hot water for 20 minutes so the wax can melt. Using an old cloth, work the wax into your coat, paying attention to dry patches, seams and creases, then wipe away any excess wax (take care to avoid the lining and collar whilst doing this). Hang and allow to dry overnight, then repeat this process once a year or as required to keep your coat looking its best.
